These services include notarizing signatures, verifying identities, and administering oaths. The following are some examples of documents that may require notary services:
Powers of Attorney (POA)-There are a few types of POA's – Authorizes an individual to act on behalf of another in legal or financial matters.
Contracts and Agreements – Documents that establish binding agreements between parties, including business and personal contracts.
Property Deeds and Quitclaim Deeds – Documents related to the transfer of property ownership.
Acknowledgement - An acknowledgment is a formal declaration made by a person who has signed a document, confirming that they did so willingly and with full understanding of the contents of the document.
Affidavit and Jurats – Statements made under oath, often used in legal proceedings or sworn declarations.
Authorization to Add/Remove Name from Title – Documents that allow for changes to be made to the title of property or vehicles.
Bank Transfer Forms – Forms used to authorize or document financial transactions.
Bill of Sale – A legal document that transfers ownership of goods from one party to another.
Designating Beneficiaries – Documents that designate individuals to receive benefits from a will, trust, or life insurance policy.
EDGAR Forms – Forms required for filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Handgun Permits – Applications or renewals for handgun permits, requiring notarized signatures.
Issuance of U.S. Passport for a Child (DS-11) – Notarization of documents for children applying for a U.S. passport.
Medical Authorization for Minors – Forms that grant permission for medical treatment or decision-making for a minor child.
Motor Vehicle Bill of Sale – Transfer of ownership documents for motor vehicles.
Notice of Lien – A legal claim filed to secure a debt or obligation.
Promissory Notes – Written promises to repay a loan or debt, often with terms of repayment.
Title Applications/Vehicle Certificates of Ownership – Documents used to apply for or transfer vehicle titles and certificates of ownership.
Travel Authorization for Minors – Documents granting permission for a minor to travel without a parent or guardian.
